Apparently, many Malaysians would love simple anchovies with petai sambal, or fondly known as sambal ikan bilis dengan petai. This sambal was one of my mother's favorites among the cooking pastes that we have tasted. Firstly, it was super quick to do which ticks the primary box as usual as sambal will require a lot of effort and time to grind the chilies and cook with it, if you cook it from scratch. Secondly, the outcome was very thick and hits right at your taste buds for its taste. It wasn't so spicy too, and everything was just right at the place.

Chicken Rendang

Last but not the least, my favorite chicken rendang. The gravy, as you may have noticed from the picture, was super rich with the spices and the coconut milk, which plays a major role in making the rendang to taste good. The richness of the flavor definitely makes rendang one of my favorites. Plus, it is doable in a jiffy is how I was proclaiming from the beginning.
