To begin with, most of us are still trying to make the best out of this pandemic. My fellow Malaysians know that we've been in lockdown for almost a year due to - I'm not going to create a thread out of it. Anyway, let's hope for the best with the 'new' cabinet that has been formed again in just a year.
As a 'lockdown-survivor', my lifestyle has changed ever since the pandemic hit. I disliked online shopping and now I've been purchasing stuff via online like nobody's business and somehow I'm liking it. I often shun buying clothes via online but I did purchase a few attires till date. Thanks to the pandemic.
Not only has my shopping style changed, but I've started purchasing food regularly via online, which I rarely did during 2019 BC (Before Covid). I take it for good now as I found some amazing local entrepreneurs of whom I admire for their products.

As a token of appreciation, I'm going to list out three local entrepreneurs I've purchased cupcakes, brownies and chocolate drinks from!
1. Feel Batter Cupcakes
WhatsApp: wa.me/+60176890654
Based in Rawang. I found this amazing homebaker through my friend initially. We were planning a surprise birthday bash for a friend, so my friends planned to get cupcakes from Feel Batter Cupcakes which is just a few kilometres away from my place. If it wasn't for the pandemic, I would have just bought some premade slice cakes from nearby bakeries. But, that doesn't mean that I'm against bakeries as I love them too, it's just that I would have missed amazing pastries from a local baker.
This was the eggless-orange-cake-with-chocolate-ganache cupcake that we bought from the passionate baker for my friend's surprise birthday bash. Trust me, I loved it at the first bite! Since then, I've ordered like a few times myself just to satisfy my cupcake-cravings! Just give a browse through the IG and I'm sure even your eyes will lust over the tasty cupcakes and cakes! The price is worth it for their delicious servings too, thank me later!
2. Rawang Brownies
Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/rawangbrowniesros/
Also based in Rawang. The name might sound casual and pretty simple for you, but I bet their cakes are not, and their brownies especially. I got to know about them from my sister, and I've been purchasing multiple times from the sweet baker for the brownies alone!
The brownies that I've purchased from them. My liking for chocolate brownies from this homebaker is simply irresistible. I purchase mostly fudge brownies and I really loved them as the brownies are flavoursome. Even their packaging would make you feel special, hahah, because that's how I feel whenever I receive my brownies from them!
3. Auresso Coffee
Website: https://auresso.com.my/
Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/auresso/
I'm not really a café person but whenever I visit a café, my go-to drink is hot chocolate mostly. Recently, I've been craving for a hot chocolate drink as I can't visit café or find any nearby shops to get it from. What I did was I began to search local chocolate drink powder suppliers on a Facebook group. After reading through a few reviews, I decided to purchase Koko Deluxe Premium Drinking Chocolate powder from Auresso. I purchased it via Shopee as I find it to be more convenient.
Let me tell you about this amazing chocolate drink that I've discovered. Just by unsealing the package, I was enticed by the aroma of cocoa powder, and I knew I'd made a good purchase. I made it into a cup of cold chocolate drink as a first try. And, that's it! I've been a fan of this chocolate drink ever since. To add in, this chocolate drink powder is made up of 33% West African Cocoa added with organic cane sugar for the sweetness. This product is HALAL certified and recognized by Jakim as a side note. Overall, I'm lovin' it!
I know you read it all chocolate, but I'm a chocolate fanatic so can't help it! I might as well write about a different batch of local entrepreneurs next so just watch out for this space. A funny but important note is that this article wasn't sponsored by anyone and it was written by my own will to let the world know about them. Remember, you're supporting a family by supporting a small business.
If any of you want me to write an honest review, do reach out! Till then, stay safe!

ReplyDeleteExactly!
DeleteComelnya tengok cupcakes tu. Iena suka beli dessert jugak dekat instagram ni. iena cari by location..cari yang dekat dgn location rumah..senang siket cod tak mahal kalau dekat2..
ReplyDeleteYe, betul tu, kos pun kena jaga juga.
Deleteinisiatif yg bagus membantu peniaga kecil.. suka juga cr makanan yg sedap dr IG... banyak yg mmg boleh direkomenkan sebab sedap
ReplyDeleteYe kalau sedap apa salahnya kita buat publisiti percuma kan?
DeleteUsaha murni seperti ini sangat bagus tau. Kalau bukan kita, siapa lagi nak bantu kan? Akak pun support peniaga di kalangan jiran tetangga. Mereka tak minta sedekah, tapi mereka bangkit dengan berniaga. Cuba buat yang terbaik. Kita beli, kita bg feedback.
DeleteOh yes, sejak MCO lepas lagi mula start support small business macam ni.. i think sebab we also have more time to scroll timeline kan.. :) Lagi satu, #SupportLokal membantu sangat.. scroll2 sangkut.. :P
